-
My question is is there any support to any 802.11n wireless interface out of the box ?
Thanks.

NO.

Maybe 2.2, which I think is going to a higher FreeBSD version, but not 2.1, since it is still on FreeBSD 8.x. I think 2.1 does support more 802.11n cards than 2.0, but still only in a/b/g modes.

so 54 mbits is the maximum for now? what about 108 mbits offered by some atheros cards, is this supported?
-
I think that mode is supported, but I've never tried it myself.

108mbits or "turbo g/super g" is suported , you have options in the interface and i tested that with a asus pci card with atheros chipset , unfortunately i have no client with turbo g to test the actual speed , i have wireless n and it doesn't do "turbo g" .
Also have no clue if there are wireless N cards that can do super g.

If you Select a turbo channel then it will use turbo.
Atheros (now Qualcomm) cards supports this mode but it is a "Atheros only" feature.
FreeBSD 9.x –> supports N modes, and as such only pfS 2.2 and above will support it.
If you want it now you need to bulid 2.1 With FreeBSD 9.x base. Be prepared to fix patches and builder scripts ;)
