Configure pfSnese as Router for VMware Workstation 9 Lab

Good Day,
First off, thanks for taking the time to read through my post and question, hope you can help to clarify the matter for me.
I am trying to setup a Windows 2012 lab in VMware Workstation, using pfSense as the Router/Gateway for the lab computers to connect to the Internet.
PROBLEM: Cannot get VM's in LAB to communicate with external websites through the pfSense router/gateway.
Its probably something stupid that I have overlooked, but I was hoping someone could read through and point me in the right direction.
Here is my configuration;
Home Router IP Address->192.168.9.1 (Connected to Internet, working fine)
pfSense WAN GW->192.168.9.1
pfSense WAN IP->192.168.9.104 (Static)
pfSense LAN IP->10.10.10.254
VMware LAB IP->10.10.10.1 – 10.10.10.250 (IP range that has been assigned to Servers/Clients in the virtual lab on VMware workstation).
pfSense DNS->8.8.8.8 (Allow DNS to be overridden by DHCP on WAN is checked)VM Networking:
pfSense VM NIC 1->Bridged->(WAN) ->em0
pfSense VM NIC 2->VMnet9 (Host-only)->(LAN) ->em1
VMware LAB VMs ->VMnet9 (Host-only)I have setup the VMware server/client systems to have a Default Gateway of 10.10.10.254(pfSense LAN IP).
Diagnostics:
1. I can connect to the pfSense web interface from a virtual server on the lab and proceed with configuration changes as required from the web portal,
2. While logged into the pfSense web Configurator, I go to Diagnostics DNS Lookup->google.com->returns IP addresses correctly from google.com
3. I cannot ping google.com from command line from a guest VM in the lab.Running pfSense 2.1-RELEASE (i386) from Sep-11-2013.
Any suggestions for configuration items that I am missing/changes that need to be made would be appreciated. Again, thanks for your help with this.
Are there static routes that need to be configured for this to work in the above scenario?

I tried to do that before and ran into a number of issues since Workstation has its own routing. Instead I've setup an ESXi server with my "lab" in it and pfSense as the router and everything worked great.

Also, if you already have a router, why are you setting up another one using pfSense? You can either use the one you have or simply set up NAT in Workstation using the built in networking tools. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches doing that instead of adding more complexity to the network.

I have the same issue in Vmware workstation 10. It's just flaky. It "should" work but not so much in practice. Works great using Virtualbox.
