Any way to deal with fast changing IP
-
My phone carrier uses an IP that changes pretty quickly.
So quickly that I most of the time cannot establish a VPN connection to my network. Are there any setting changes I could make to mitigate this?

I guess I don't understand. What does your phone carrier have to do with PFsense? I'm assuming you're talking about connecting to VPN while tethered? (Or possibly using the OpenVPN app)
Either way… I'm not sure what we're supposed to do about your carrier. The issue is on your carrier's network, not PFsense.
If I'm totally misunderstanding your question, please re-phrase and elaborate.

My IP changes frequently.
Many times in the middle of the OpenVPN connect handshakes which to both ends look like the other stopped responding.

Two thoughts.
How can it change your IP so fast while still allowing others to maintain a connection to you?
Have you tried disabling IPV6 on your phone? On Tmobile there is a way to do this by changing your APN settings, I think.

It's pretty common, it wouldn't affect most things.
How would someone on AOL Dialup for example maintain a connection?Have you tried disabling IPV6 on your phone? On Tmobile there is a way to do this by changing your APN settings, I think.
I'll give it a look.
