Experiencing an oddity with pfSense web forums site.
Occasionally upon browsing to https://forum.pfsense.org/ the desktop will go blank (background color only, no wallpaper, no icons, etc).  Then once the site loads it all comes back.

Seems to happen maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

This is the only site this ever happens on.

Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center
      IE 11
      i5, 8GB, 64-bit
Pen and Full Windows Touch Support with 10 touch points

Anyone else experience this odd behavior?

Your thoughts and ideas about what could / is causing this appreciated.

      Thanks

Hmmm odd indeed. The actual desktop goes blank, outside of the browser?
Have you tried a different browser? Are you running anything like an ad-blocker or virus scanning pluggin?

Yup, desktop goes blank except for the desktop background color (Windows 8.1 default dark blue in this case), and the browser window.  Then the page loads, then the wallpaper image and icons all come back.

Haven't tried other browsers it only happens a few times a week.  Don't think I can stand to run any of the other browser that long.  I really do not like Chrome, Firefox, etc. browsers.  I know a lot of people do, but I don't.  But that's a different subject.

No ad-blocker or virus scanning pluggin.  Pretty much straight up plain vanilla Windows 8.1 Pro w/Media Center.
A few browser plugins but nothing radical.

Well, your explorer.exe shell crashes… Definitely not forum or pfSense fault. See the event log.
