Hi I just wanted to check something, I tried updating 2.1.4 to 2.2 I currently have VMXNET3 and vmtools installed (MVware not open) and once upgraded packets went out nothing in although logs showed traffic in but not on the VLANS they should be. So I thought maybe missing the vlan headers on the packet? not 100% sure.

Should I of removed VMware tools then upgraded then the inbuilt drivers should of worked?

        vmware-tools breaks everything …

i think you are better of doing a clean install and then importing your config.xml

there is issue with native vmware tools, you can get the nics to work with the vmware tools drivers with ifconfig vmxf3? -rxcsum -txcsum -tso4

replace the ? with the nic number, apply it to all of them and you can then pass traffic.
