There doesn't seem to be an appropriate category for Switching, VLANs, and other Layer 2 questions…

Of maybe just "Switching and VLANs" or maybe "Switching, Bridging, and VLANs"

While there does seem to be lots of posts related to these topics, and can be an interesting to discuss for sure - how exactly does it pertain to support of pfsense?  More a general networking topic.

Instead of specific section, wouldn't this stuff just fall to general.  Or maybe just a General networking section could be created with sub sections?

It does seem that many users looking for help with pfsense are very lacking in understanding basic networking topics as well ;)

pfSense does VLANs, bridges, etc.  All layer 2.

                Sounds reasonable to me.
I have only used the VLAN features, personally.  Bridging and LAGGing and all that craziness screams for the need of a switch.  pfSense is not a switch.
