WebGUI trouble since 2.2.3

Today I upgraded to pfsense 2.2.3. Now the weGUI gives me a headache: only after reboot it is available for some minutes but then stops working. Restarting it from shell also has no effect. The system itself is up and running but just without webGUI. Any clue what happened?

Have you also tried console menu option 16 to restart PHP-FPM?
That might get things back for you - then of course the root cause still needs to be found.
bandwidthd is known to cause this problem on some systems, regardless of (recent) pfSense version. Why that is so has not been tracked down. -

Looks like the built in webserver is somehow fucked.

Try the solution that always works:
Backup confi
Install on totally cleaned drive (that is a re-install - not an upgrade)
Put backed up config back in. -

I have just done a reinstall-restore from 2.2.4 to 2.2.4 and the WebGUI is OK for up to 1 day, sometimes only a few hours. -
