Have you tried re-installing it? Or just re-installing the gui components if the rest of it is still there?

Im new to this steve as of that posting lastnight. I was told to goto packages and goto available packages and I did that then goto ALL and i did that and was told to look for lightsquid in the list and I cant find it there in the list. I have squid3 installed.
-
Ah, OK. I misunderstood you there.
Ok, more info needed. Are you running 32 or 64bit? Nano or Full Install? Is this a product you purchased from Netgate/pfSense store?Steve
-
They're listed alphabetically. It's there, or you already installed it and it's in the Installed list. A screencap showing it not there would help.
-
Its not there at all I am gonna post 2 different screen shots.
Im running nanobsd (2g)
Geode(TM) Integrated Processor by AMD PCSNo it was not bought from netgate i bought it 2nd hand from a data center that was upgrading and I took it off their hands.
Im assuming 32bit.![Pfsense installed packages.png](/public/imported_attachments/1/Pfsense installed packages.png)

Not available on embedded! Plus, trying to run anything like this on Alix is sheer madness. Move to something more useful.
-
Yes, that. ^
It's not available on embedded because of the large amount of data writes/storage it requires. But also, yes, the ALIX has at most 256MB. If that's what you have it would be unwise to try to run it anyway.

Ok thanks guys for all that info. Yes Im running 256MB for sure. Someone suggested something else? Any other suggestions or ideas so I can read the logs and stuff any ideas greatly appreciated.
-
What logs do you need to read? Most is available in Status > System Logs.
Running Squid on an ALIX, whilst technically possible, is a bad idea in almost every case.Steve

Just learning to read logs and mainly i wanna see what sites ppl are logging into and stuff and not have to try to read it raw version really.
