Hi I have PF 2.2.2 installed with Squid 3.4.10_2 pkg 0.2.8. On usage on the network the squid serves I have notice that the pbirun has multiple instances where they take about 5-12% CPU, however they cause the system to usage high CPU. If I kill these processes all returns to normal.

I did notice that their was a bug request for this but it is marked as resolved. Am  missing anything.

As a not I am only runing proxy with dansgardan to block so no AV a v little cache.

after upgrading to 2.2.2-RELEASE (amd64) the cpu is constantly at 100%.

This is cause by 2 processes:
        [2.2.2-RELEASE][admin@firewall]/var/log: ps -axwwvvvvf | grep 69528
        69528 S    5:35.10  0 127      0  12532  2104  -    4  5.0  0.1 /usr/pbi/.pbirun /usr/local/libexec/squid/unlinkd
        [2.2.2-RELEASE][admin@firewall]/root: ps -axwwvvvvf | grep 8692
        8692 S    5:47.42  0 127      0  12532  2104  -    4  5.0  0.1 /usr/pbi/.pbirun /usr/local/libexec/squid/pinger

Restarting (same for stop, start) Squid Service results in doubling the number prof processes and load (running processes get not killed). Reboot tried.

Squid is used as Reverse Proxy without clamav or anything special.
        No useful log entries.

What can I try? What to check? Where to look next?

I find to kill the process the best way forward but what is the permanent fix?

A permanet fix would be great.

Problem is recurring after one or two days.

Permanent fix won't come until 2.3 where the PBI shit is ditched.

Is a reinstall needed to fix this?
