Wifi Card compatibility

Hello,
I am interested in purchasing a wifi card to use for pfsense as AP.
Can anyone tell me if this is compatible to run with hostap?
HP Atheros 9485GN 802.11b/g/n

I know Atheros is in the list of compatible cards, but i want to make sure before buying it.

I have not tried that one but it should be supported as AR9500 series does work.

This shows it as an 1x1x1 which is pretty indesirable.

What is your slot, full length or half? I have only found one half length mini-pciE module that is acceptable for my personal usage and it is expensive. Based on AR9380/AR5BHB112. The rest of the modules i have tested had lackluster performance.

The AR5BHB92 works but you get what you pay for. My connections speeds with it were not optimal.

If you have a full length slot the AR5BXB112 is a good choice for the money.
