Captive portal authenticateing to PF radius service (pf radius connected to LDAP

so ive been looking into setting up CP for the office and have gone as far as setting up the local radius server to auth against an internal ldap service. now i want to connect the CP to radius on localhost, to get the CP to authenticate against the internal ldap since the current iteration of CP does not support direct connections to LDAP. has anyone managed to get this off the ground or am i the only one trying to map this ou ::) ::)t. ill post more info in a bit as im on a mobile device.

Here it worked :
On pfsense box free radius + CP. Freeradius binds to a separate LDAP server.
