Renato has just been doing some work to make upgrades work on nanoBSD.
Are you on a full install or nanoBSD?
-
I'm on a full install and have just figured out the cause. Disabling the use of ramdisk for /tmp and /var has restored my ability to upgrade. Shall I open a bug report?
Edit: I may not have rebooted after enabling ramdisk. I'm going to try it again.
-
How much space did you have allocated for /tmp and /var RAM disks?
And perhaps comment on https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/5483 because that is the upgrade issue currently being worked - it is possible that it has had some impact on other upgrade scenarios.
-
256MB each. Rebooting after enabling ramdisk did not have any effect, by the way, issue still exists regardless.
-
What's your total installed RAM? (is this bare metal or VM?)
-
8GB on bare metal.
-
@DougD:
8GB on bare metal.
Please file a bug.
