built on Mon Mar 07 14:50:28 CST 2016 and earlier
Ive just set up 6rd on my Centurylink DSL connection.

Ive noted that when you choose 6rd the dropdown on the WAN page the correct IPv6 options show up. But when you hit save all the other IPv6 option tabs also show up which can cause confusion if your trying to figure out settings.  Its easy to fubar a connection which then requires starting the process over. (ie select none then save then come back and select 6rd again)

I don't see this happening on any of my other boxes. I have both DHCP6 and 6to4 boxes running on 2.3 now.

pfSense-beta selected but seems to be on all themes.

Going to the "track interface" tab and entering a number does not appear to take but when I did that traffic would not flow any longer.

This pull request has a couple of little changes to things I noticed in the front-end code: https://github.com/pfsense/pfsense/pull/2715
That does not fix anything "not taking".
I presume you mean that you put a number in "IPv6 Prefix ID" but the number is not saved to the config?
          I could not reproduce that.

Or do you mean that the number is saved in the config, but is not applied to the real interface?

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."

When I first go to the WAN interface and select 6RD the correct "tab" Ill call it drops down and allows me to enter my choices. Once I click the save button the other boxes show up on the page (allowing me to enter more there and hit save again.)

In other words the tab for DHCP6, 6to4 and Track Interface all incorrectly appear and seem to let you make changes that may not be conducive to proper settings for 6RD.

edited-  to try and make more sense.  ;)

I just fixed the extraneous fields showing up when 6rd was selected.
              https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/5967

I'm guessing the reference to things "not saving" was trying to fill in fields that aren't applicable in that context, like the type 6rd interface can't have the track6 things filled in. Those are hidden again as they should be.

                Right.

                Thanks Chris!
