HAProxy
-
Hello.
I am reading about HAProxy ( https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Haproxy_package )
Is there a any good guide for begginers with HAProxy?.
In Google I found this:
"Geeking out with HAproxy on pfSense: The ultimate port 443 TLS/SSL router.
I would like to share my experience on how to transform your pfSense appliance into a layer4 router for sharing all the encrypted traffic we have on port 443 with SSH and OpenVPN traffic."http://loredo.me/post/116633549315/geeking-out-with-haproxy-on-pfsense-the-ultimate
But for begginers? Anybody knows one?
I would like configure HAProxy like transparent proxy for htt & https traffic in pfSense 2.2.6 amd64
Regards.

Maybe it helps: https://github.com/PiBa-NL/pfsense-haproxy-package-doc/wiki
p.s. haproxy is a "reverse proxy" like nginx and apache-modsecurity, not like squid's main purpose which would be a "forward proxy" where local users would use it for their browser sessions, so it would be usefull if you have some webservers running on your lan/dmz network. There as some verry basic forward proxy support in haproxy,, but i dont think that fits much purposes..

Hello.
Thanks for the info.
OK, If there is a web server in the LAN/DMZ this is the good solution.
