      Hi,
trying to access a site blocked by SquidGuard, I get "404 not found" instead of external error page configured in SquidGuard: Common ACL -> Redirect info. And I get the following line:

kid1| UPGRADE WARNING: URL rewriter reponded with garbage ' 192.168.0.30/- - GET'. Future Squid will treat this as part of the URL.

      (where 192.168.0.30 -  my IP) in /var/squid/logs/cache.log.

Depending on SquidGuard: Common ACL -> Redirect mode, broken URL of the external error page can be seen directly in a browser's address bar:

      http://access.denied:8001/site.html 192.168.0.30/- - GET

where 'http://access.denied:8001/site.html' - the external error page and ' 192.168.0.30/- - GET' - the garbage.

      My configuration is: pfSense 2.2 + transparent squid3 3.4.10_2 pkg 0.2.6 + squidGuard-devel 1.5_1beta pkg v.1.5.6

      Thank you

try adding a "?" (question mark, without quotation marks) to your redirect info url.

that separates the url from the automatically added parameters.

Thanks so much dneuhaeuser ! I was looking all over for a reason why my redirect wasn't working. Adding the '?' did the trick !

This thread is quite old and the users involved have low post counts so it's unlikely they will see this and respond.

From what they were saying earlier, the ? goes in redirect info which is part of squidguard on the Common ACL tab.  Post the ? at the end of your URL.

                    Here I think:

                    redirect.png_thumb
                    redirect.png

Dont want to overpost here but I know this is an old post but not sure if this applies or if anyone had solved it

                      So i keep getting

UPGRADE WARNING: URL rewriter reponded with garbage ' 192.168.3.3/- - GET'. Future Squid will treat this as part of the URL.

where 192.168.3.3 is my IP but Not sure what the upgrade warning means? should be concern? or let it be? Im running transparent mode +WPAD so i leave the option rewrite to int blank page

                      and that annoying

                      pinger: initializing ICMP PINGER....
