      Good evening!

So I currently have my PS4 working well as NAT Type 2 on my network. Everything in regards to chat and playing multiplayer seems fine, but sense the recent release of PS4 Remote Play. I can NOT for the life of me connect to my PSN from my verizon hotspot. Can someone see if im missing something crucial in my settings? Thanks

      10.1.0.15 is my PS4.

        Quick suggestions:

        • The line "allow 88-65535 10.0.1.15/24 88-65535" should be changed to "allow 88-65535 10.0.1.15/32 88-65535",.
        • Check the box "By default deny access to UPnP & NAT-PMP"

As for remote play, are you connecting from the same local network that your PC is on? I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "connect to my PSN from my verizon hotspot". Are both your PC and PS4 on the hotspot, and if so, how does pfsense fit into that setup?

On the same network, it works no problem. I have a verizon hotspot that I use for travel, so it would be nice to play from hotel rooms on business trips. The PS4 is hard wired to a 300 mbps connection, so im thinking that there is a limitation in the firewall preventing me from accessing the PS4. Or could it just be the shotty remote play application?

Check your firewall logs for your verizon IP; if it shows up, something's not working or set up correctly.

So based on my settings, its probably not my PFSense blocking the connection over the hotspot, but the hotspot itself?

I just want to ensure that my internal settings are correct and arent blocking external sources from connecting.

              Thanks

                Bump.

has ANYONE got remote play working for PC on ps4? Am I the only one struggling with this? works great on the local wifi, but the second i try any other network (LTE/hotspot) it just wont connect. Do a significant amount of traveling for work and would love to have this feature working.

Check the UPnP status and make sure that the PS4 is listed after doing a network test on the PS4 itself. After that, check that your Verizon public IP isn't being blocked by pfSense. If UPnP is set up correctly, and the IP isn't being blocked, I don't see how it could be pfSense.
