      Hi There,

I've been using pfsense with squid + wpad in place using DHCP and its all running smoothly. Well! there are issues with squid though, but nothing major I see.

However, I couldn't figure out this issue of having the password prompt for all the subnets. I'm not sure where the problem is or maybe I'm defining the subnets incorrectly.

10.0.0.0/16 is what I use for LAN and the pfsense LAN is defined as 10.1.1.1/16

Users are divided into two naming general users (10.1.10.0/16) and privileged users (10.1.7.0/16). Also the server are on 10.1.2.0/16 and the devices are on 10.1.3.0/16 just to differentiate

However, what I have done squid is that I have given below as the subnets that do not require authentication

      10.1.7.0/24
      10.1.2.0/24
      192.168.5.0/24
      10.1.3.0/24
      10.1.10.8/32

      –-------

It was working earlier and now it starts to act all weird prompting for passwords. Is this because of the mask bit that I have defined?
