Quote to fix a problem sending eMail via Outlook

Hello,
I have a clean install of pfSense. There is no way to send eMails via Outlook with attached files (always show a timeout error). The only way in order to "fix" this issue is to deactivate the firewall (it is using the default rules). I need a quote from someone that can fix it.

Hi!
On the LAN interface "ALLOW any any" is the default, so there should nothing be blocked. Are you on LAN? Or OPT1? OPT1 is not configured by default and you have to add rule to the Firewall-Rules tab first…
What do you mean by "deactivating firewall"?
Have you tried a reboot? Changed hardware? Appears not to be related to pfSense software...

Now, I am on LAN with WAN deactivated… but this is the install number twenty and I think that I have tested all possible configuration.

System > Advanced > Firewall & NAT > Firewall > |x| Disable all packet filtering.

Sure. I triend to reinstall multiple times, reboot, use as interface the motherboard NIC, use a PCI NIC, using both and using PCI NIC with MB NIC deactivated in BIOS.

Hey! I have the gateway asigned to LAN. That is due to I was testing with multiple configuration (included the recommended by pfSense).

If you start with a fresh install of pfSense, then all your emails, with or without attachments should leave the router.
Maybe you have personal firewall on the Windows computers sending via Outlook, these firewalls sometimes have mail proxies, making it a pain to send out emails with attachments (I have one with GData, it's a pain, the email with large attachments usually times out, but if you press the send button again, it will go out). Hope that helps!

Thank you but it should be pfSense + maybe something more… it is easy as deactivate de packet filtering to be able to send mails one more time. By the way, there is at least three post with the same problem and without solution.
EDIT: I installed pfSense and opnSense about one hundred times... and always the same problem (fresh install). Thats why I want to pay someone :)

As it also happenz with opnSense, some hardware thing might be involved (NIC driver included…)?

- RAM 2GB
- NIC MB > fxp > Intel ?? (I will enable it tomorrow)
- NIC PCI > re > D-Link DGE-528(T) Gigabit Ethernet Adapter

The threads are stone age, hu? The one from 2008 (!) lists a number of potential problems. The 2013 thread has a solution that works for 15 minutes? Come on….
The 2009 thread:
"We had a similar issue (inbound mail was fine, couldn't send outbound attachments beyond 25k or so) that eventually traced back to a bad Ethernet port ...."

This morning I was trying with a laptop (NIC Atheros + fresh install) and nope… there is no way to send eMails with files attached.

Hello. Sorry I didn't get the notification mail about your reply. I have news about that… but not good news.
1.- I tried with different eMail clients (all reports timeouts).
2.- I tried to install pfSense in a Dell DataVault but I continue geting timeouts
3.- I tried two diferents ADSL connetions without success.Attached the log that you was asking for. The one called "firewall" is with pfSense firewall activated (no way to send mails with attachments). Thank you very much in advance.
