      Hi,

      i've got a fresh installation of pfsense on a Supermicro Mini-Server, which i want to use as a WLAN-Router.
      After the installation was finished, i tried to enable ath0-Interface, but i couldn't select it. It was simply missing in my network ports.

      The system detects my wireless card, via shell and pciconf -lv i see that:

      none2@pci0:8:0:0:      class=0x028000  card=0x3099168c  chip=0x002a168c  rev=0x01  hdr=0x00
      vendor             =  'Qualcomm Atheros'
      device             =  'AR928X Wireless Network Adapter  (PCI-Express)'
      class              =  network

      I had searched already for that problem, but couldn't find any solutions.

      I am using PFSense Version 2.3.1.

      I hope you can help me solving this problem or guide me in the right direction.

      Thanks in advance.

        It appears that the ath driver lacks support for that specific card. There isn't anything you can do to change that. The OS sees the hardware but since it shows as a "none" device that means no driver attached.
