…on my old linksys, I just set "respond to ping requests" and all was well, where is there something like that in pfSense? Or do I just make a firewall rule?

        yes.
just create an allow ICMP rule

We do what we must, because we can.

The firewall rule should be set as follows.

          Action: Pass
          Interface: WAN
          Protocol: ICMP
          ICMP type: Echo
          Source: any
          Destination: WAN address

Well I made that rule; it doesn't do the trick, changed the rule to any ICMP, still doesn't work…

it seems any rules, portforwards I make, just do not want to work...
