SquidGuard & Squid Https Filtering
-
Hi Team,
I have configured pfsense 2.1.5 for https filtering with squid3-dev and squidguard-squid3 packages.
My redirect is to sgerror.php with url target as blank.
If I paste the URL i am able to directly show the blank page. Even HTTP redirect can show the blank page.
The problem kicks in when I have to HTTPS redirect. No matter what i do I am getting the url as https://https/*. Also firefox reports web cert mismatch saying the cert is for https not the internal pfsense page.
Does any one know how to fix this problem please. The certs are all fine and installed into the various clients that this server is connected to. Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
Kind Regards,

Hello, I'm having the exact same problem, do you manage to find a solution for it?
Thanks

Perhaps you should upgrade to something less ancient? 2.1.5 is like 2.5 years old now. Get rid of transparent mode as well and use WPAD to let your clients find the proxy on their own without having a certificate installed on every client.

This necroposting gets annoying.

Yeah I'll lock this. Thanks. If someone has a similar issue please post a new thread in Cache/Proxy.
