Can´t boot menstick on alix apu2
-
I copy the snapshot to a usb stick. The apu2 begins to boot , ask then for the boot device.
Any idea, I check both external subparts. -
My APU2 suc6 was with raw-writing the image directly onto SD or mSata by a computerhost, APU2 USB booting process defective.

Did you actually copy the file to the stick or did you use one of the many programs to write the image to the stick?
-
I use dd if= …. to write the image to the usb stick.
-
I just typed in the failed mount command again and mine continued to boot. I think maybe the delay is not quite long enough to allow the usb drive to fully initialize.
I forget the exact command but you can figure it out from what is shown in the console display. mount ufs:\boot\….

Just rebuilt mine from scratch with a clean 2.4B image, rufus to write the image and installed, as cwagz said, something is happening around the mount ufs: output but I left it to go and make a cup of tea and when I came back everything was working normally.
Came across this as another user who tests things for me was having the same problems:

Try it again with a current snapshot

Thanks jimp, one of my testers is doing a fresh install this morning, I'll let you know later.

That fixed the boot issue, apparently he struggled with the display over serial but that's a different issue. :)
Thanks for the fix jimp.
He has come up with another issue I cannot replicate, I'll post a separate thread on that one.
