Wifi cards not detecting

Im running in to a wifi card problem. PfSense is just not detecting both my cards. At first I installed a TP-Link AC1900 card. It did not work and then I redirected myself to the supported page and bought a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 card that was on the list(https://www.freebsd.org/releases/10.3R/hardware.html). I currently have the TP-Link installed in my pc in the top most slot. No opt interfaces are showing.

Im using an old AMD Phenom II X4 desktop. I have eveything set up correctly. I can enter the webconfig and have access to everything. I currently have my old asus router connected as a access point to it and thats how im using wifi at the moment.

Just a little update. I added the AC1900 back into the router on my 1xPCie slot along side with the TL-WDN4800. Still not detecting anything.
I'm running PfSense 2.3.2 -
Get a proper access point, connect it to your switch and move on.

Well, I came here for help and if that is what is best…Then so be it.
Is Ubiquiti a good brand??? Or what do you guys prefer.
Just asking, seeing that I'm in the market for one now.

No problems with UBNT. But certainly anything will an ethernet connector will be better than trying to mess with wifi cards in BSD.

Thats true. I just need wifi in the back of the house for the family. My ISP installed my modem in the back of the house in the living room. Its just that my family does not want me moving it and have wires running all over the house, in the attic, or outside the house. The only option now is to install my pfSense router, which is up and ready, and hook up a ACP. Im gonna transfer my asus router to the front of the house where my pc is and just set it to extender mode.

I have the same exact setup as you. Down to the same wifi cards and processor. I know the wifi works because it's seen and worked in Ubuntu. I could plug in a Nighthawk router but that defeats the purpose of why I bought the card that was on the card list.
