[Haproxy] Using Haproxy for other ports? (i.e. not 80 or 443)
-
Hi, just wondering, is it possible to use Haproxy for ports other than 80 or 443?
I am asking as I will like to set up Teamviewer's WOL for my computers; I am planning to assign each of them a unique TCP port and DDNS.
I have tried standard port forwarding but was unable to get the ports open until I started using them in Haproxy too. But even then, I am unable to get WOL to work too.
So may I know what should I do?
Thanks!
Note: I also have pfBlockerNG and DNSBL activated; I am unsure if these are related though

Why are you trying to use TCP? Seems like the magic packet is send over UDP as described in chapter 7.1.2: https://www.teamviewer.com/EN/res/pdf/TeamViewer-Manual-Wake-on-LAN-en.pdf

Argh, I didn't notice that line! :-[
Ok, let me change the settings and test WOL again

Regardless, HAProxy can run on any port, and multiple ports, and in general I don't get what's the question here….

Sorry, I was trying to answer what appears to be two separate issues (Teamviewer WOL and HAProxy using any ports other than 80/443) in one thread; I thought they were related
