Prevent creation of ipv6 gateway on vpn interface?

So working with bringing up a vpn client connection, and works as expected.  Put in the info - bing bang zoom makes a connection.  When you go and create a interface tied to that client and say none none on the ipv4 and ipv6 connection it creates a IPv6 gateway.

Have no desire to use ipv6 on this connection, is it possible to prevent or remove this gateway it creates?
