Allow voip traffic
-
Hi,
Can you guys please help me allow voip traffic at PFSense.
So I got the phone and it's not able to connect to remote host with UDP and tftp configuration file. Trying TFTP from a PC also timing out. What needs to be done to allow UDP any on LAN? -
Any one? Just need to allow TFTP to lan, can some please give me an example of the rule
Thanks

What is that TFTP you are referring to, Trivial File Transfer Protocol? How is that related to VoIP?
If you provide some more information first (what kind of phone, network setup) I can try to help. I have just these days completed a working VoIP setup here.

On your "System" tab- go to Firewall/NAT
On the bottom of that page set up the TFTP proxy.

I guess you're trying to get the phone configured by downloading a configuration from somewhere via TFTP? Isn't it possible to obtain the information from the configuration file and configure the phone manually? You probably need some of these informations anyway to configure some port forwards and / or rules in the pfSense firewall.

Many voip providers are locked down and will not give you that information.
Can you try directly connecting your ata to the modem and see if it grabs it that way?
