Temporary Verizon Wireless WAN setup?
-
Has anyone had any experience with setting up PFSense to the WAN being the wireless (ie talking to a hotspot of either a phone or mifi). I'm moving shops and the only service available is outrageously priced DSL (3m @ $115) so I'm working with my current provider to improve that. In the mean time I have Verizon LTE available at full bars in the area. Since my heavy lifting is done elsewhere, I want to setup the network and just use the Verizon LTE in the interim. Any help would be appreciated. I'm planning to test setting up on an old netbook with one NIC and wireless.

As long as you're using a supported card it shouldn't be any different than using an ethernet nic. From my experience the only thing more expensive than an internet connection is data on a cellphone, though.

Definitely the reason behind it only being a temp setup. I'm stuck waiting for a corporate property owner to make up its mind on allowing the Telco on the property to install equipment.
