OpenVPN Server glitch
-
I have a working setup receiving inbound OpenVPN connections.
Yesterday, I was trying to connect via my Mac to home using Viscosity, and although the connection was made (and I could connect to the pfsense gui), I could not connect to my other network devices.
I then connected via the iPad (using the OpenVPN app) and everything worked as expected.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to look for in the openVPN connectoid for Viscosity, to work out why I can't connect to my local networks?
The connections for both devices were exported using the same settings from the pfsense gui, and then imported in to the relevant apps.
Many thanks,

OK, this is very odd…
I tried TunnelBlick, same issue. Compared the file contents for Viscosity vs iOS Export - nothing obvious.
Then I changed, only, the logging level (from 3 to 4) on the VPN Server. I presume this restarted the daemon?
I have now connected my Mac, and everything is working!
The only thing that I can see has changed, is that I now have the IP x.x.x.2, whereas it was previously x.x.x.5.
When the iPad had a working connection its IP was x.x.x.2…In the log I could see that the Default Gateway was correctly set to the device. Will now connect with the iPad to see what if anything has changed.
Coincidence? Or does this help with any diagnosis?
Running OS X 10.9.5
Thanks again.

I can confirm that the iPad cannot now connect to the remote network!
It appears that only the first connected VPN client is able to traverse to the primary LAN.
