Bridging physical ports in Hyper-V
-
Can anyone help me with how to do this? I've tried just about every tutorial on the internet, but I keep losing my LAN.
I have 1 physical NIC bringing in WAN (hn0), one virtual NIC providing DHCP to the other VMs (hn1), and four physical NICs (hn 2,3,4,5).
hn1 is set up as a DHCP server, 192.168.1.1/24-My 4 physical NICs are all added (should those be set to DHCP?)
-I go to Interfaces - Assign - Bridges, what interfaces do I include in the BRIDGE0 ?
-Back under the Interface Assignment tab, how do I reassign my interfaces & newly formed bridge?Follow-on question - If I were to hook up a Ubiquity AP to one of the physical NICs, what adjustments would I need to make?

Add to BRIDGE0 NICs hn 1,2,3,4,5
Enable MAC spoofing on all bridget NICs in VM settings
Set IP configuration to none on all bridget NICs in pfSense
Configure BRIDGE0 with desired LAN configuration -
Hey man, greatly appreciate the reply.
I've added those NICs to the bridge, along with enabling MAC spoofing in the network adapter settings.
When I set all interface configs to 'none' (including hn1), I have to first set up DHCP for BRIDGE0. I created 192.168.0.1/24 for the bridge, then disabled DHCP for LAN (hn1) and then was able to set IPv4 type to none on hn1.
When I release/renew IP in my Windows VM, I am able to pull DHCP, but cannot ping the GW (much less access the pfsense config page).
A physical workstation plugged into one of the NIC ports on the computer (hn3) does not pull any DHCP at all.
