Web gui on this release is dev'd by the slowski team, it takes like a minute to load anything per click:

      System pfSense
      Serial: 81772cf9-3283-11e7-a6b0-000f1fe1501d
      Netgate Unique ID: 6fcaf1d26843112003ac
      BIOS Vendor: Dell Inc.
      Version: A08
      Release Date: 03/03/2006
      Version 2.3.4-RELEASE (i386)
built on Wed May 03 15:22:11 CDT 2017
      FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p19

The system is on the latest version.
      Platform pfSense
      CPU Type Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz
      2 CPUs: 1 package(s) x 1 core(s) x 2 HTT threads

What's going on do you think?  You need some logs or something?  Can you guys look into it?

Oh and SSH seems to also lock up which seems odd.  Internet, ping both local and to the Internet are fine but all the management interfaces seem to go derp on this thing, they lock up.  Help!  :-)

      Thanks

No such problems in general on many other 2.3.4 systems. Must be specific to your configuration or hardware.

What type of disk is that running from?

Can the firewall properly resolve hostnames with DNS?

What packages do you have installed?

        What dashboard widgets?

Same problem here, 2.3.4 bare metal.

Mine is a Dell too (R200, Xeon L3360, 8GB RAM).

2.3.3 was fine, 2.3.4 is unworkable.

          Jim:
          Disk: WD 7200 RPM
          DNS resolve: yes.
          Packages: freeradius, Snort, pfBlockerNG, Nut.
Widgets: all that apply, so interfaces, gateways, snort, pfBlockerNG, OpenVPN. Gui-theme: pfSense. 3 columns. Removing most widgets doesn't make any difference, neither does trying another theme.

Is there a way I can debug this? Because now I can't even use this machine anymore  :'( :'( :'(

            @Mr.:

You could use httpWatch to see if it shows any particular thing being slow to load.

Chrome has similar capabilities in the dev tools mode (F12).  Though httpWatch is much nicer in my opinion.

              Thank you NOYB  ;D

httpWatch = Windows, I searched for something Debian, but couldn't find it quickly.

So I tried F12 tools in Firefox and Chrome, and hopefully I did the right thing looking in 'network' and 'performance'.

On the screen it clearly shows wait times of > 200.000 ms (!), and I hope I exported it correctly and somebody can actually read these *.json's.

I think I will have to revert back to 2.3.3, because this machine can no longer be used like this.

I think it is either the pfBlocker- or the NUT widget.
