I am sure that this used to update in the old 2.2 version of PFSense but is definitely broken in the 2.3.4 version. What is the point of a status page that doesnt update. I thought this is what the refresh interval in the general setup page was supposed to handle.

    this may be related to

Any chance of getting this fixed??

    regards

The interfaces widget has AJAX code to make it update regularly. I just tried on a VM - disconnect/connect the "virtual cable" to a network and the interface status changes, change the IP address of an interface in another tab and it updates on the dashboard tab.

Seems to be working in general. So what is your special case that prevents it updating?

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."

Phil is correct. The widget does update dynamically as expected.

Even though it does update dynamically there may still be a problem with update not happening under certain conditions.

It's been a couple of weeks so I don't recall all the details.  Had an hour long ISP outage and when service was restore pfSense grabbed a new WAN IP address (DHCP).  But the widget never updated automatically.

          Notes:
There were no local links or anything like that that went down that pfSense would be able to detect.
Single NIC; WAN is a VLAN, LAN is native

A fluke maybe?  I don't know.  Never attempted to reproduce.

          2.3.4
          i386 Full Install
          RAM disk enabled
