If you don't know how to setup these devices, what about not using them ?
Putting routers behind a firewall is already complicated and not usual.
Take a switch.
Hookup switch to LAN port or better : OPT1 port from pfSense. Activate Captive portal on LAN, or better OPT1 (and put firewall rules on Interface OPT1).
Take one or more Access points.
Hook them up to the swtch.
Set up AP's, - be SURE to de activate internal HDCP servers, firewalls, whatever. De activate router mode if it has one. Do NOT use the WAN port if one is present. How to configure pfSens to make the captive portal operational for my entire network
As said, keep it simple.
Use LAN for yourself (admin purposes).
Activate Captive portal on dedicated (== OPT1) segment.
Throw a pas-all firewall rule to start with on the OPT1 interface.I want to generate access codes with a limited time for each client
