Rebase against freebsd 11.1 for 2.4 release?
-
Hello,
There are reports that the current beta will be hang in Intel Kaby gen system, and this ACPI bug has been fixed in upstream in FreeBSD 11.1. I ran into the same issue, and I wonder if there is a plan to rebase the upstream in the nearly future. Thanks.

They said 2.4 will be 11, but they hope 2.4.1 will be 11.1.
-
There were too many large changes in 11.1 (especially IPsec) to drop it into 2.4 at the moment, but we're testing it for 2.4.1 and it's going pretty well so far. 2.4.1 will be following closely behind 2.4, which will be coming very soon.
-
Please elaborate on "very soon". How far are we from 2.4 being released?
-
There isn't a firm timetable to elaborate from, but Really Soon Now.

If I was to guess, probably the next 2 months. There seems to be a concentrated effort with most other things finally being stable "enough". There has been a general up-tick in closes vs open activity in their public bug tracker.
