Wireless USB adapter Edimax EW-7711UAn - working mode hostap

Hello guys,
Did anyone used the Wireless USB adapter Edimax EW-7711UAn with pfsense for access point mode ?
I have a pfsense virtualized in ESXi and i would like to buy this wireless adapter to make my PfSense access point.
I cannot add other PCI or other kind of wireless card, the USB is what i need to plug in cause i'm using as as host my HP 2570 EliteBook Laptop. Or you have any other sugestion with good working performance for USB device?Thanks,

The general advice is to not have WiFi integrated in the pfSense (an AP or router in AP mode is much better) and never to use USB-connected network interfaces. Unless you have a very boring life and need new challenges, I think it's not a very good idea to combine those two into one.

the unifi AP are a great choice… Sure the AC lite is very reasonable priced option..
