Unable to run ANY speed/ping tests
-
I am unable to run speed or ping tests from ANY site that provides them.
speedtest.net presents this error that points you towards your ad blocker however this feels like a squid issue.
-
Does it work when you don't use squid?
-
Yes, I disabled proxy auto-config on my computer and it runs absolutely fine. :/
-
Try adding speedtest.net to the Do Not Cache section under Local Cache - Squid Cache General Settings.

I saved, restarted the squid service, and refreshed the speedtest page after I added each line (so two save/restart/refresh in total) and the issue still occurs. After this I rebooted pfSense and the issue still occurs.
Something to note, before adding these lines the big red ad block error pops up immediatly after clicking the big yellow GO button. After adding the line it moves to the test screen then pops up the big red error.

Hmmm. While I haven't tried it lately, I have certainly done speed tests with squid enabled in the past. I can't do it no but I'll try to hit it later and see if it gives me any problems.
Have you tried their normal site instead of the HTML5 one?

Thats fine, I really appreciate all the help :)
If I go back to the flash based version it seems to work without any issues. Going over to other testing sites and they all fail. doing a google search for "Speed Test" lets you run the google speed tester (it fails to ever start)
http://speedtest.xfinity.com/
https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
https://www.verizon.com/speedtest/
http://speedtest.att.com/speedtest/ -Worked (we all know AT&T is horrid though, they probably lie about their speed tests to make U-Verse customers feel better)
https://fast.com/ -Worked (no clue)In all my previous attempts I never went down the google result page and tried THIS many test sites
I appreciate all your help, thank you so much!
