VPN on same subnet as internal network?
-
I'm sure this is a pretty stupid question, but I'm new to VPNs so here goes.
I followed some forum posts and youtube videos to get OpenVPN set up on my pfsense box. I can connect with my laptop from afar using my cell phone as a wifi hotspot. All is good.
But the VPN is presently configured on a separate subnet than my internal network. IE, 10.0.0.x is my internal network, and 10.0.1.x is the VPN.
I'd like to get my client(s) who connect via VPN on the same subnet in order to resolve some routing issues with some of the services I run at home, specifically, Plex.
How can I accomplish this?
Thanks.

In that case you need to set up the adapter to bridge (TAP) instead of route (TUN).
Hint: it starts by changing "Device Mode" under your OpenVPN server settings.https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/wiki/BridgingAndRouting
