[SOLVED] Can't connect to OpenVPN server from LAN, how to fix?
-
I recently moved my OpenVPN server from a Raspberry Pi to pfSense. Originally port 1194 was forwarded to the Pi and NAT reflection was enabled, so I could connect from the outside world or from inside the LAN. This was handy since I could leave OpenVPN connected all the time, and everything worked whether I was home or away. Now, with the pfSense OpenVPN server, it works fine from WAN connections but no longer works when I'm in the LAN. I'm guessing NAT reflection isn't working here since the OpenVPN server is not truly NATted but bound to the WAN interface in pfSense. I'm new to pfSense and firewall rules in general so not sure what to try next. How can I get OpenVPN working from inside the LAN?

Change the OpenVPN server to listen on LAN address.

Forward port 1194 from WAN to LAN address with NAT reflection.
Now, NAT reflection should work again.
