      Hello Y'all

I have a 2.4.2-RELEASE-p1 (amd64) pfsense virtual machine running in VMWare Workstation 14 on a windows 10 host, the pfsense machine has three Intel NICs ports one for the WAN and another for the LAN as you already know and a third port use (or trying to use) as trunk port for four VLAN nets, the point is that, I can't get the trunk port to work as it is suppose to do it, I've try any suggestion that I've found on google, the NIC support VLAN tagging, I installed the Intel prosets and the advanced networking services for teaming and VLANs (ANS) drivers on windows, I enabled and disabled the the ability of the nic for vlan and priority, you name it, I tried almost any combination of settings to get this works but still there is no communication between the pfsense trunk port and the swicht, by the way I have a TP-Link 8-Port Managed Smart Switch (TL-SG108E), with one port tagged for all the four VLANs and the rest of the ports untagged for the devices in each VLAN net.

Any clues or idea if this is achievable in this kind of configuration that I have?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this post and help me solve it.

        VMWare workstation dont support Vlan.
If you want to use it, go on your Host and do VLAN with the windows drivers. That will create virtual Adapters which listen to the vlans. Then you can add these adapter to vmware and add them as interface in Pfsense.
