If you don't want people to post issues on the announcement post, then you should lock the thread. Besides, it seems the most logical place to post since this is where most people will first look.

There's no reason to lock the thread, others might have questions about upgrading. Posting your issue under a separate thread makes it easier for others find it later. We're also trying to prevent multiple different issues posted under the same thread. Please respect the moderation.
