@biggsy I get why you want UTC but we're mostly announcing stuff in Central time zone. If someone has an automated way of converting it, I'd love to learn about it. Otherwise it's just a potential issue, as someone might calculate time zones wrong.
@johnpoz not yet but it may go to bare metal soon :) this is currently a lot bigger datacenter work, mostly network.

Sorry folks, maintenance lasted a little longer than expected. While the maintenance still in progress, we're working on bringing back all our services and websites online.
-
Great thanks! These things happen.. Glad to see stuff coming back online.
-
You moved to a new datacenter with zayo (zcolo), right?
Not too impressed with latency, but everything with level3 involved is bad from our side of the pond.
80.157.129.202 is still my ISP DTAG-TRANSIT (Deutsche Telekom AG), IIRC located on the US East Coast. -
We're with Zayo all along, this was major maintenance (still going on ATM).
-
@ivor "major maintenance" could have also been a new colo. We don't know that.
-
I would still opt for a mirror in Europe, Frankfurt or Amsterdam, probably...

Don't pay attention to responses from Level 3 addresses like 4.x.x.x, these are not reflecting real picture.

I would think almost everyone knows how far their local time zone is ahead or behind UTC, even considering daylight saving.
I'm sure most Americans know the difference between their time zone and CDT/CST but you have an International audience for these announcements.

Maintenance is still ongoing. We expect to have store.netgate.com and portal.pfsense.org back online in the morning. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank everyone for their patience.

Is this going to effect pending orders that were placed before the maintenance started?
-
Did you order something from us? If you have and your order was not fulfilled, let me know and I'll get our sales to contact you ASAP.

Just out of curiosity what kind of "major maintenance" was that when it was scheduled for Sunday 10AM to 10PM and today, Tuesday, you still only expect subdomains to become available again?
From the outside this looks like a schoolbook example of how not to do it.

It was due to be built on 6/18 (and hopefully ship today) but since the store is still down I can’t check on it. Order 78022.

We expect the store will be back online soon, then we can confirm the status. I'm truly sorry for this inconvenience. I'll update you once the store is back online. Thanks!
e: can you please send an email to sales@netgate.com so our sales can contact you with shipping status? Thanks!
