We have several pfSense / OpenVPN site to site connections on lossy links - congested rural cellular and rural ISPs with over-committed radio links.

OpenVPN is awesome at staying connected and reconnecting, like a dog with a bone. We love the excellent pfSense reliability.

I think, however, we could get better throughput with FEC Forward Error Correction using something like UDPSpeeder.

Has anyone got UDPSpeeder working on pfSense? Any hints or tips? Anyone tempted to make a package?
