Where is Varnish ?

Hello all,

I m looking to add Varnish on my router but it seems to be impossible in pfsense 2.4. yet this package seems to exist on previous versions.

i tried to directly install varnish6 on pfsense with 'pkg add' (i know it's bad). But i have a 'exec cc problem' and install gcc don't solve it. So i gave up before killing my pfsense.
i look for installing ~~docker~~ ezjail on pfsense. It look possible, but i m not used to use jail and i don't know if this will solve my problem.

Anyone who doing reverse proxy caching on pfsense can give me a advice ?

I think Varnish was removed some time ago. Squid has a reverse proxy.

Varnish was removed years ago. Very few people used it, and it required keeping a compiler on the firewall which is generally a bad idea.

Also, don't use ezjail or jails in general on the firewall. Either virtualize things or separate them. Don't try to force the firewall to take on roles for which it isn't well-suited.
