[solved] Date of each post gone. Why?
-
I just saw that the date of each individual post is gone within the topic view.
Now you cannot even tell if you're responding to a 3 year old post just because this reference is hidden.
Is there a reason for this (other than you're not getting the forum color schemes right to have them always readable...)? -
Which post date are you referring to? I can see the post date behind the Name? I'm confused ;)
-
@jegr well, I can't.

Might be your chosen theme/color scheme. Is the test there but invisible? Try selecting the area where it should be.
It shows up for me here, but I'm on the default theme.
-
It's showing fine here too. The date display is generated by a JS script, so check your Add/Script blocker settings on your browser or clear its cache.

Themes I tried are "Slate" and "Darkly"
And I can't see something in an invisible color, checked that already.

No Ad-Blocker or such, logged out and back in, even the "Default" scheme doesn't help.

Have another browser to try?
Did your browser have an update or an add-on have an update?
Seems to be OK for everyone else, and nothing changed on the forum.
-
OK, seems to be a browser issue.
Safari works, Opera doesn't at the moment. It did in the past, though. -
TIL people still use Opera...
-
It's Chrome without Google, so what?
Updates are easier than with Chromium... -
Opera has always been a good alternative. I use it every time I do a hangout because it's a good browser and I like having one with a clean profile that doesn't have anything personal on it to show when broadcasting. I just don't use it for a daily driver browser.
-
Hey, relax everyone. I wasn't criticizing Opera. I just hadn't heard its name in many years. I"m a FF guy myself, on Linux at home and Windows at work.

Just to add a data point, I use Opera and have always seen the times on posts. I'm on version 56.0.3051.52 now but I never remember a time when I couldn't see post times. So it's not just categorically broken in Opera.
-
What version of opera you using - happy to fire it up and test.
-
@johnpoz
This is interesting ... just wanted to post my Opera versionVersion:56.0.3051.52
Opera ist auf dem neuesten Stand
Update-Stream: Stable
Betriebssystem: Mac OS X 10.12.6 64-bitand the post's date/time is back again. Really strange, didn't change a thing on my side.
-
Is it possible your opera updated?
-
Nope.
-
That version dropped on when 17th?
-
I'm also on Windows, not Mac . . . perhaps it's Mac-specific for some reason?

I just noticed this as well, dates of posts not being displayed. Definitely a browser issue and more specifically, IE. Everything else I have shows the post dates correctly (FF, Chrome, Edge). IE stubbornly does not want to show this info. As I usually have multiple browsers and tabs open on my desktop at any given time, I need to be careful to use something besides IE when viewing this forum. No biggie...

I don't see a date either, just how long ago a post was posted (i.e 2 months ago).
I find that retarded. But that's the trend these days.
I've seen this shit forum software on a few other project sites and I hate it.
Someone is pushing this garbage real hard and it needs to stop.
I'd rather see fully functional open source forums that show actual dates and times of posts and work like forums rather than like a fucking Facebook. -
Nothing makes you happy does it?
-
Dude there is nothing saying you have to be here....
-
You can see the date and time of a post in the tool-tip, when you hover your mouse cursor over the "x minutes/hours/days ago":

But Grimson.. That is too much work ;)
