Signature feature

I set this to 5 recently along with a few other fields to cut down on spammers who would sign up and immediately fill the signature, "about me" and website fields with spam links.

We still get some spammers but their profiles are much less polluted with ads.

That said, we do need to build a bit more culture around upvoting here. People are not used to using it and the button can be easy to overlook. But we also need to avoid being so into it that it loses all meaning... ("D00d, don't forget to smash that button!" on every post/sig)

@jimp Thanks for the explanation, it seems a logical step, to keep spammers out.

I noticed my signature needed an update and saw no option to make an update. Like my signature ended up in the /dev/null black hole. A web search landed me here. I am at a 4 rating now. Can a mod please fix my settings so I can update? I want to update my signature to indicate I am on the pfSense2.4.5 Development release. Thank you.

Same issue for me, with my signature...and in my case it is "bit" outdated. And cannot change it.

What would you like to change in it - I can update it for you until you reach the needed rep points. Just PM what you would like it to be and will update for you.

I would hope your running 2.4.4 - can for sure make it that for you ;)

Ditto. Updated my pfSense version to 2.4.4 and can't change my existing signature to reflect that.

Same here. Clear the signature please, or can you recover the reputations befor changing the forum software?

Cleared your sig - and you were at 4.. So gave you a thumbs up so now your at 5 and should be able to edit your sig.

Nope when they changed over any karma or thanks you had seems to have been not converted over to rep.
