Running pfsense 2.4.4 and I need to access a specific website outside the vpn and I’m not having success. The website is www.alliantcreditunion.com and here is what I have tried so far:

Added alliantcreditunion.com under DNSBL whitelist in pfblockerNG

Created a firewall alias under IP called Alliant type set to Host, and under hosts listed alliantcreditunion.com

I then went under firewall, rules, LAN created a new rule at the top of the list with action to pass, interface LAN, Addrsss family IPv4, protocol TCP, destination is single host set to my Alliant alias, gateway set to WAN_DHCP-Interface DHCP gateway.

So far nothing I have tried works and I’m not showing the website as being blocked at all in the rules for pfblockerNG. Desperately seeking help as my wife cannot access our accounts on the network! Thanks!!

If I access www.alliantcreditunion.com I get redirected to www.alliantcreditunion.org, which is another IP. So you will have to add this FQDN to your alias as well.
Also the site may contain further parts which come from other sources and also need to be directed over the WAN GW. You can use browser tools to investigate.

Interestingly enough is I am able to access www.alliantcreditunion.org just fine. Something will not allow me to access the login page
