VLAN Trunking over multiple ports
-
Hello,
We have a pfsense router with 8 physical Ethernet ports. Three vlans - 10, 11, and 100. (Vlan 100 is strictly a backup and for managing pfsense.) We created a trunk port (igb2) with vlan 10 and 11 successfully passed traffic over this port.
We need to feed a Dell Switch Stack (6 switches) with up link redundancy. The stack is already configured and has one switch that was tested with the igb2 trunk port from the pfsense and it worked as expected.
With this in mind we need 6 trunk ports from the pfsense with the same config as igb2. From reading almost every forum google gave me it seems like bridging might come be the way to go about this but we are not entirely sure. If any additional information is needed please let me know. Any help is much appreciated. Thank You.

Create a LAGG on pfsense and on the switch stack. Use the LAGG as the vlan parent.
