Zotac CI 3450 judging on previous posts ?

https://www.zotac.com/us/product/mini_pcs/zbox-ci325-nano-windows-10 can't see the exact WiFi card.

FreeBSD doesn't support 802.11ac, pfSense is based on FreeBSD.

Wireless and freebsd not a very good idea.. Use an AP for your networks wireless needs.. You will save yourself lots of grief!

            Agree 100%

And to the original poster, if you're looking for a no-frills, nothing fancy, wifi access point, this is a good one:

I have the WA901ND. If that AP works the same as mine, it doesn't support VLANs properly.

Yeah I would stay away from any of the cheaper tplink stuff - they don't understand how vlans are suppose to work ;) They leave everything in vlan 1 for example on their sg105 and 108e models

We aren't talking about VLANs here, this topic isn't even in the VLAN section.

If the original poster is looking for, like I said above, a no-frills, nothing fancy, wireless access point, the TP-Link AP I linked to is a good inexpensive (USD $25) choice. It even comes with a POE injector.

We don'y know that yet, only that what he's got now doesn't work. Also, why buy known defective gear?

Why would you suggest someone buy something that says it does something and doesn't actually do it? I don't care how CHEAP It is...

If he doesn't want vlan support, then any 20$ wifi router would be fine, atleast it wouldn't be saying it does X, when it doesn't!!

I'm assuming you're talking to me about this, since I mentioned the cost. When did I ever say that this AP supports VLAN functions?

Why are you two arguing with me about VLANs?

We don't know what the OP wants. Who knows, he may want a guest SSID. Regardless, why buy defective gear? It only encourages them to produce crap.

You didn't say it supports vlan.. But to be honest that brands low end stuff is just crap.. Your suggested model doesn't even support AC.. For that same price point he could get a gig AC wifi router and use it as AP..

Vlans aside that is a horrible suggestion to be honest..
