How many bridges needed for pfSense vm?
-
I have pfSense virtualised on my LXC and it runs okay.
However, someone suggested 2 bridges aren' t needed, rather 1 bridge. I am not quite clear why 1 bridge would suffice, any suggestions please?
My network topology is in this inserted image.

Sorry, looks like the 'insert image' option is buggy. I pasted the URL into the automatically generated brackets, but no good.

No URL or brackets needed.
Try CTRL-C your image, and insert here using Ctrl-V
(Cut and paste ....) -
The brackets are automatically added to the text, with a prompt to add the image’s URL, which I originally did.

Using the capture tools from Windows ..... and Ctrl-V :

On LXC? I'm in doubt.
You will need one bridge for each hardware interface you want pfSense connect to.
So since your pfSense vm should be connected to two interfaces, you need to add two bridges on your host. One will be sufficient if you only connect internal vms to pfSense aside from WAN.

Ok, thank you for the clarification. The setup seems correct then.
