I've setup an OpenVPN TAP routing VPN, I'm relatively confident that the config. is fine, the problem is that many (most) of the traffic is blocked but some is sent to the VPN.

With ping I get 50% or more packet loss, so I assume the VPN configuration is fine because I do get some reply from remote network.

What the best way to troubleshoot the problem?

Please note that to the same pfSense/site I have a TUN VPN that works just fine and I regularly use most of the times, however I also need a TAP VPN because some device in the remote network can be accessed only from within the subnet, so I need a bridge when I need to connect to these devices.

      I'm using 2.4.4-RELEASE-p1 (amd64) with a physical box.

      Thank you

I just noticed in the OpenVPN client log the following:

        WARNING: 'link-mtu' is used inconsistently, local='link-mtu 1601', remote='link-mtu 1602'

Where does these MTU values comes from?

I have no MTU defined in OpenVPN client config.
I have no MTU defined in OpenVPN server config.
I have no MTU defined in WAN interface.
