      Hi,

I have an old laptop that I wanted to use with pFsense for a front-end AV and firewall only. I have looked around online, but haven't had success getting it to work.

As it stands I currently have a Draytek load-balancing router with 3 connections and as the DHCP server. The current DNS server is a Raspberry Pi with Pihole on it. All other devices in the household are connected via a switch or wireless router.

I want to introduce the pFsense device between the load balancing router and my switch so that it can inspect the traffic and prevent access to files/sites that may contain viruses. I want the draytek router to continue to act as the DHCP server - as all devices are bound by MAC and it routes devices to specific connections/VPNs with failover/failback.

Is this possible? If so how can I do this?

Thanks in advance for the help.
